We need:
- toilet paper rolls
- thick paper
- cardboard
- paint
- paintbrush
- brass fasteners
- Stanley knife
- glue
Do it:
– First thing, they have to paint a roll with the color they want. They must put 2 layers. When they roll dry, they will take a cardboard and draw some circles and create the wheels. For beautiful rounds, they can use a small glass or a bottle lid of max 4 cm in diameter and they will cut them.
They will paint the wheels and let them dry.
– To assemble the car, they will start by drill a hole on the place of wheels on the car and on the wheels. They will pass the brass fasteners in the hole on the wheel and after on the car and open it inside the roll. repeat the operation for all the wheels.
– Then using a Stanley knife ( it’s an adult need doing it), make a rectangular opening on the top of the roll with a small flap to create a seat for the driver.
Create a steering wheel on a thick paper, cut it and paste with some glue.
– For the decoration it’s your children will decide what they prefer: a number, a flame, some lines, stickers, etc.
